Suketu Mehta, the New York-based author of "This Land Is Our Land: An Immigrant's Manifesto," talks about both the hypocrisy and hope surrounding America’s immigration beliefs.
Mehta is an Associate Professor of Journalism at New York University. His book about global migration tells of his own experience as an Indian-born teenager growing up in New York City and also about today’s migrants, their motivation, and the economic and historical forces that propel them from their homes to faraway lands.
There will also be a Q & A session at the end of the presentation and a book signing.
