In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Prof. Oscar Quiroz will lead a workshop on Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, one of colonial Latin America's most prolific writers.
Though her works may be unfamiliar to many non-Hispanic audiences, this presentation offers an immersive experience into the rich tradition of Hispanic Golden Age Drama through the lens of this iconic 17th-century Mexican playwright. We will discover more about Hispanic heritage and culture through the powerful legacy of Sor Juana.
Prof. Quiroz is a graduate of the Michigan State University with an MFA in Acting and also earned the prestigious Varg Sullivan Distinguished Graduate Award.
