Join us for ESL Book Discussion at the Main Library!
Practice English through reading The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman. This eight-week hybrid book discussion is for intermediate-level adult English-language learners. We'll read and discuss the book, a fun, culturally relevant novel that reflects aspects of American life, in 45-50 page increments.
Format: Hybrid (in person at the Main Library or online via Zoom) Registration required. Zoom link will be emailed to all registrants.
Program Details: Books are provided — pick up your copy in the Adult Nonfiction Department during the first week of class. Read about 45–50 pages per week on your own.
Monthly hybrid discussions will cover: Story and plot, Vocabulary, Cultural context, Reading questions or challenges. By the end of the session, we’ll finish the book together.
